Refried Beans

These refried beans make a great side dish with your Mexican main courses like tacos, enchiladas or burritos. They are easy to make and ready in less than 15 minutes. Ole´ !!!


INGREDIENTS:


1 Tbsp olive oil

30 oz can pinto beans, drained

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp minced garlic

1 1/2 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp chili powder

1/2 cup water


DIRECTIONS:


In a medium sized saucepan, over medium heat, add olive oil, the drained beans and seasonings. Stir to combine and cook until it begins to bubble in about 5 minutes.


Using a potato masher, begin to mash the beans as you continue to cook on lower heat. Gradually add in the water, mixing and mashing the beans for the next 5 minutes or until you've reached your desired consistency.


Remove from heat & cover to keep warm.

You're all set to eat these delicious, nutritious beans! 4 servings.
